Porto Sant'Elpidio and surroundings

Porto Sant'Elpidio, on the Marche coast in Fermo province, is known not only for its summer resorts, but also for its shoe district. The long beach, consisting of sand and gravel, stretches between the town and the sea.

Visit the sixteenth-century Clock Tower, which rises in the town square, the Church of the Annunziata, and elegant mansions such as Villa Murri and Villa Barruchello in Porto Sant'Elpidio. The Sant'Elpidio Jazz Festival is also a must-see during the summer.

The town of Porto San Giorgio overlooks the Adriatic Sea.

This provincial capital is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Its Renaissance Piazza del Popolo is one of the most beautiful in Italy, and it is also the location of one of the country's oldest horse races, when the city is decked with flags, parades, and colors, much to the joy of residents and tourists alike.

The Conero Riviera is a group of 16 municipalities in the Marche region that have Mount Conero at their heart.

The towns of Ancona, Camerano, Sirolo, and Numana, which border the promontory on all four sides, formed the core initially, although the Riviera as a whole shares similar traits in terms of history, traditions, and traditional cuisine.

Loreto is most famous for its Basilica, which houses the Holy House (the house where, it is said, Mary received the Annunciation from the Archangel Gabriel).

While this site is important to Christians' religion, the Basilica is a historical and artistic treasure that anybody can learn about and appreciate.

Recanati is recognized across the globe for being the birthplace of two great and disparate personalities: tenor Beniamino Gigli and poet Giacomo Leopardi.

These two outstanding talents may be found in the places and streets of the town, which is nestled in the Marche region's hills and is worthwhile visiting, not least because of the many paintings by Lorenzo Lotto.

The Frasassi Caves, discovered (relatively) recently in the 1970s, are a spectacular example of easily accessible karst caves.

Thousands of tourists visit each year because of their grandeur and beauty, enthralled by the variety of stalactites and stalagmites.

Civitanova Marche is especially well-known among shoe shoppers, who frequently visit one of its stores for great deals.

The coastal promenade, which is linked by a practical cycling path, provides clean, well-equipped soft sandy beaches to the north of the port, as well as shallow waters close to the coastline, which are suitable for the whole family. To the south, beach resorts (including a dog beach) provide extensive pebbly shores, and a stretch of free beach in the center of the southern promenade is a favorite site for kite surfers yearning for wind and waves.
